When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, Then You knew my path.
Psalm 142:3a

Just a verse I found during church on Sunday that's been blessing me all week!

Cookie Day!

Last Thursday we spent the afternoon baking cookies with some of the girls from Kid's Ministry.
While we made cookies the boys made us pizza and after supper we went Christmas caroling.

Mia was in her element!

The other girls seemed to enjoy it too...

17 years ago today Hosanna Dawn joined our family! After learning before she was born that she had a bad heart defect and would probably only live a few hours, we were very grateful to discover after she was born that it wasn't as bad as the doctors thought and to get 27 months with her!

Mama spent most of her time the first month teaching her how to nurse.

One year old!

It's the time of year when...

...you wake up in the morning and look out your window to see a white world.

...you watch the sunrise through frost covered windows.

...you can decorate with pine and burn candles

...you stop along the road in an attempt to capture the beautiful white world.

...your brother (and his wife and baby) stop in and plow out the lane and then just sit around and drink coffee and visit for a few hours.

...you make gingerbread cookies

...then eat them with a mug of cocoa

...you have time in the evening to play with and take pictures of your adorable kitten.

I love how life moves at a slower pace in the Winter. It's still moving plenty fast enough for me though! :)

Sunday with the Haleys

Wes is here right now for his last visit before he comes for the wedding! Since he likes to be with his girlfriend and we didn't have church yesterday we spent the day there with him.

Lydia's Bridal Shower

Wes and Lyd are still counting the days till their wedding. They are down to 40 now!
On Friday evening we had a shower for Lydia. Harmony and Lynette did a great job of planning it.

Chubby little Guy!

Different families brought food from an assigned ethnic group and then gave Lydia the bowl that the food was served in.

Somebody has been losing their teeth!
