Christmas!

Christmas morning with the Martins! They claimed me as part of the family and I was more than happy to be a part of the festivities. Eggnog, gifts, waffles with lots of strawberries and whipped cream, the Christmas story,  and fresh Challah bread slathered with butter.

At this point, waiting was getting very hard.

Cole was delighted with his "Lightning Queen McTable" that he'd been wanting for a very long time.

Who would have thought that a $10 watch could bring so much joy? Alex is a very fun person to give gifts to. :)

Alex bought Vern an airsoft gun so he wouldn't have to always borrow his to use in the parlor.

Cami tried her stuff on as fast as she got it.

Christa was happy with her peppermint patties.

Then I went and spent some time with Dan and Leah, went to Daniel and Janel's for dessert and am now hanging out with Wes and Lydia. It's been a good Christmas! :)

Pennsylvania

I spent a week in PA! It didn't feel near that long as there was lots going on, but it was a very nice trip. I hardly used my camera at all so pictures are limited.
It was great to see Harmony and Seth in their new house and spend time with them again! Peter and Leah were in PA too, as Peter has been working out there some, so there was lots of family around. One day all of us ladies went shopping and stocked up on the good deals that seem to be everywhere in that area. I always love shopping out there.

Mama, Grandma and I took the train out together, so that was fun. Here we are trying to kill 2 hours in Pittsburgh.

 Breakfast time!

After breakfast Grandma and I passed time by looking at my pictures from the past year and talking about my trips.

Christmas Play

Little sheep sucking on her hooves.

 "away in a manger..."

Daniel was the most entertaining shepherd. :) He said his verse quite fine though.

 "we three kings..."

I left sunny North Carolina and came home to this. I really wasn't at all sure I was ready for cold weather but we've had some warmer days again now.
This sunrise was so beautiful that I crawled out of my warm bed and faced a cold world just to capture it.

My one and only Black Friday purchase. No, I did not brave the crowds, I got them online. 7 pyrex glass containers for $10! I've been wanting some for a very long time so I was happy with the deal.
