Family Fun

Myah checking out the chickens

Hammock time with a few of my favorite little people.

Curious George cd/book was a great entertainer for the children.

 Jana is one now!

The guys spent their Memorial Day working on my house again. We have it ready for the wood siding now!

The children were all quite happy when it was finally time for dessert.

Guy and Keane had some fun with the mud I think.

I took these four to the park one day and they had so much fun together.

A visit with Grandma

I had a few days off from work, so I decided to spend a couple days with Grandma before the summer gets crazy.

 Wide open country.

Grandma always seems to have a whole meal ready to pull out of her fridge!

I'm not sure how she keeps track, but she still sends out birthday cards to all her children, 42 grandchildren (plus their spouses) and 100 and some great grands.

You can never leave Grandma's house with less than you came with.
I'm so thankful to have this woman in my life. She's one of the most hospitable and
generous people I know.

In which it was Spring!

It felt like spring took forever to come this year. Now it is the end of May and most of the time it feels like summer. Here are a few Spring highlights.

A deserted Michigan homestead

Hanging my hammock is always a Spring highlight!

A baby turtle I found while working in my flowerbed.

 A spring bouquet

One of the first nice days, I went to the park with Christa and her children.
It feels so good to spend time outside again.

 An outdoor dinner with family!

Jasmine, helping me in the kitchen.

Rowan came and spent the night at my house.

Laurel wanted to help me wash dishes.

Spring means riding to church in the brothers convertible

and having a picnic lunch under a blooming tree.

Spring means I get to spend time in the woods hunting mushrooms.

I actually found a few!

Harmony went with me one day. As you can tell, she was a lot more successful.

 Cousin fun

I finally got my flowerbed made this spring and have been really enjoying it!
