More of life in South Haven

My vacation got extended twice. I was going to come home Monday afternoon but at 1 am that morning my heart sank and I realized I had sent my purse home with Wes and Lyd. I was just going to go home without it until I realized my car key was in the purse too. So, I got off work and planned to go home. Wednesday after I got my key, but Wednesday also came with a huge snow storm.

So, I had a girls night...

and spent lots of time at my favorite Mexican restaurant that our friends own.

This chicken fajita burrito brought back memories of when I was younger and we would get fajitas and Snapple here and then go spend the day at Lake Michigan!

(No, the children are not the cooks. They are just making some food for themselves)

This morning we woke up to the the sun shining on 8" of snow. It was so beautiful that Lyn and I bundled up and ran out to take some pictures.

Then I shoveled out my car, went to Pruebelo for one last meal and am back in my cabin again!

Sledding!

Today was the first time I've gone sledding in years and I forgot what fun it is! It reminded me of the hours and hours we would spend going down our little hill at home when I was young. Anyway, it was a complete blast even if it was only 10 degrees and my legs about froze.

Lake Michigan

My friend Lynette is living in Grand Haven MI for a couple months helping some friends out at their restaurant. I had a long weekend off work so I decided to visit her!
This is the first day when we went out to the lighthouse and then in the evening we went to an improv. Wes and Lyd came up too for Saturday evening and Sunday so we had a good time!

Cold!

On a side note, I have an iPhone now. The sad part of that is that now I take iPhone pictures more than real pictures. The benefit is that I actually take pictures because I always have a camera with me and hopefully I'll actually post on here more because I will actually have pictures to post!
