North Carolina

Monday afternoon I left Daniel and Janels and started the 24 hour process of traveling. 1/2 and hour by bus, then 7-8 hours on another bus, taxi to the airport and 3 different flights. Customs was packed so I almost missed my one flight, but they were nice to me and after begging, they let me on. I went through security and ran onto the plane minutes before take-off.
I got into NC 24 hours later and was so glad to be done traveling!

Merry, Rhoda and Brandon picked me up and we did a little shopping and ate some food on the way home. I hadn't ever had a Rita's gelati before but it was deffinantly worth trying! We got a mango and it was very good!

Brandon thought it was great too!

I'm having a lot of fun getting to know this little guy! He is a very big 6 month old and is all boy!
He loves making loud noises and loves being outside.

I took these pictures of him last night.
I had to call on Rhoda for some help getting some smiles out of him.

Picnic at The Gardens

Sunday after church we walked to The Gardens and had a picnic! It was beautiful and we weren't the only ones that had decided to visit that day! It was a busy place.

Natasha's fish face (looking at the fish in the pond)

Lunch! Scotch eggs, plantain chips, carrots sticks and lemon pudding with toasted coconut!

 Can I have some please?

 Natasha loved the water!

A few more random pictures from life in Panama
Plantain, baked and stuffed with cheese! This was on my list of top ways to eat plantain!

Real Coca-Cola! Made with real sugar and in a glass bottle!

Hike to the waterfalls!

Waiting and waiting on a bus. It was a little windy so Natasha thought she better hang onto her hat.

The road going down into Boquete

 On the bus

It was about an hour or so hike back to the falls. It took a lot longer though as there were lots of pictures to be taken. :)

Looking at the one and only Quetzal we saw!
We heard lots of them along the way and were just so happy to see one.

I wished I had a 200 or 300mm lens but was very happy that I had my 135 along

 Bamboo

Finally at the waterfalls!

 All 5 of us!

She looks quite relaxed, considering she's 7 feet off the ground!

Can you believe that there were 25 people piled in this little van? It was tight to put it mildly. The people that saw us on the road were a little amused, as were we. :)

None of us were quite sure how Natasha managed to get her pants off, as she was just as squished as the rest of us, but they were missing when we got off.
